Job Description
Summary
We are seeking a Custom Fabricator to join our sign-making team. This role involves hands-on work with a variety of materials and tools to build high-quality, custom signage. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled with power tools and fabrication equipment, and enjoys bringing creative designs to life.
Responsibilities
Material preparation: Cutting, shaping, and finishing raw materials such as metal, aluminum, plastic, acrylic, vinyl, or wood.
Assembly & fabrication: Building frames, letters, and sign components according to blueprints or digital designs.
Customization: Creating unique, one-of-a-kind signs tailored to client branding (logos, lettering, graphics, dimensional elements).
Equipment operation: Using saws, CNC routers, lasers, and bending machines.
Finishing: Sanding, painting, or powder-coating to give signs a polished, professional look.
Installation prep: Ensuring signs are durable and safe for installation (adding mounting brackets, wiring for illuminated signs, etc.).
Collaboration: Working with designers, project managers, and installers to bring concepts into reality.
Skills Needed
Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Knowledge of materials and fabrication techniques.
Experience with power tools or CNC equipment.
Problem-solving skills for custom/unique requests.
