CNC Operator

Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Pay: $18 to $20 per hour, depending on experience
Shift: 7:25am to 3:55pm

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating CNC lathes or mills, reading blueprints, and performing precision measurements to ensure parts meet specifications. This position requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, or other machining centers according to job specifications.

• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings.

• Load raw materials and monitor machine operations for accuracy and consistency.

• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

• Make minor adjustments to machine settings or tooling offsets as needed.

• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance and reporting issues.

• Document production data and complete required quality control paperwork.

• Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training in machining preferred.

• Minimum 1 2 years of CNC operating experience (lathe or mill).

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use measuring instruments accurately.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
