Mechanical Drafter Designer





Local Company in Rialto is seeking a Temporary Mechanical Drafter Designer. Company has been in operation for over 43 years and continues to be a global leader in the field of Packaging Machines for perishable goods. This is a perfect opportunity to get further experience in a company that is professional and gives you the opportunity to learn and grow. Please call our office (909)792-1252.

Hours: 6am - 2:30pm, Temp to perm

Pay: $29-$39 an hour

What you need to be considered:

• 2 year technical degree or certificate from an accredited designer/drafter course (or equivalent)
• 3+ years of relevant experience with 2D and 3D mechancial drafting and designing using Solidworks and Autodesk products 
• Strong PC and CAD skills, as well as efficiency in utilizing computer software to complete design assignments
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints
• Experience with SolidWorks, Inventor, and AutoCAD
• Ability to interpret and apply guide lines from various sources including but not limited to the FDA, USDA, Code of Federal Regulations, CSA, and EU/CE directives and harmonized standards.
• Familiar with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) concentrating in food handling processes.
• Be able to work overtime
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs 

A Day on the Job: 

• Drafting and creating accurate 3D models for complex packaging machines
• Developing detailing desings using SolidWorks, Inventor and AutoCAD
• Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, or drawings.
• Routine enginerring tasks such as entering data into forms, EDMS and Avante
• apply design principles related to machinery that packages or handles food products
