Machine Operator (1st Shift)



Machine Operator – Kentwood, Michigan

We are currently conducting interviews for immediate machine operating positions in Grand Rapids, MI. Our client is a manufacturer working with thermoforming and this job consists of physically operating machinery and molds. The ideal candidate will have a manufacturing background but entry-level candidates would be considered with the right attitude and related experience. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working with thermoforms, light hand assembly
• Scanning, labeling and packaging
• Continuous operating of production line - picking up material and placing in machine
• Checking parts for quality and trimming as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• 6 months of machine operating experience
• Proficient spoken and written English, and punctual and reliable
• Good communication, courteous manners and positive attitude
• Manufacturing, machine operating or thermoforming experience desired
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team or independently, and follow directions
• Strong attention to detail and high degree of flexibility
• Ability to be on your feet for 8-10 hour shifts
• Ability to keep up with the medium to fast-paced environment
• Ability to multi-task and be okay with switching between jobs during the shift
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Monday- Friday

1st shift: (6:00 am – 2:30 pm) $15.00/hr.

2nd Shift (2:30 pm – 11:00 pm) $17.00/hr.
