Job Description



Lighting manufacturer that specializes in the brightest and best LED lighting solutions is looking to hire a Western Regional Sales Manager.  This position will work remotely and reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing.

The Western Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of assigned Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) accounts, the associated dealer networks, and developing/managing additional aftermarket distribution and opportunities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & EXPECTATIONS

• Responsible for day-to-day communication, sales growth, and customer development associated with new and existing OEM and Value-Added Resellers and Distributor customer accounts.

• Account management to include:

     Managing programs and projects in conjunction with Program Management.

     Forecasting.

     Review of primary and secondary OEM customer orders, including quoting.

     Generate reports associated with assigned industry accounts.

     Understanding entire process for customers—including, but not limited to order processing, EDI processing, delivery, and warranty.

     Autonomous management of a sales region with responsibility to grow revenue.

• Responsible for development and implementation of marketing and sales plan within assigned territory/markets.

• Participation and membership in industry councils and trade shows.

• Territory planning and identification of potential accounts.

• Cold-calling and prospecting potential new accounts.

• Responsible for achieving sales plan.

• Manage account product training/webinars and discount programs where applicable.

• Provide marketing and product feedback.

• Assist with product forecasting.

• Ability to travel up to 25% – 35% per year.

• Ongoing communication with other departments.

• Able to perform job consistently and without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Demonstrated ability in taking initiative to proactively evaluate existing sales strategies and recommend changes, when appropriate.

• Ability to understand and clearly communicate to the rest of the organization the “voice of the customer.”

This is a full-time, benefited position that includes a salary starting at $75,000 annually and minimum commission estimated at $15,000 annually.
