Job Description

A large manufacturing company located in the Ontario area is seeking a Accounts Payable Clerk - Do you have 3 or more years in accounts payable roles? Do you have experience in Visual Books or Quickbooks and proficient in Excel and Word? Do you want 3 day weekends every week? 


Compensation: $18.00/hr

Position: Full-time (Schedule is 5:00am – 3:30pm, Monday – Thursday)

General Tasks

• Prepare invoices for payment (match up paperwork, check pricing, sales taxes, verify GL accounts, obtain approval for payment)

• Data entry of all approved invoices into Visual Books

• Perform check runs (twice/week) – print check report, pull invoices & match with printed checks, obtain signatures, stuff checks in envelopes to mail out, file all paid invoices from the check runs

• Reconcile all bank statements

• General filing (PO’s, receiving paperwork, unpaid invoices, paid invoices, customer invoices)

• Prepare month end AP set-up worksheets

• Process credit card payments and transactions with specific vendors

• Communicate with vendors to resolve any discrepancies

• Assist with annual audit (pulling documentation, re-filing, etc.)

• Cross-train in and manage general accounts receivable (deposits, posting payments)


Job Requirements

• Minimum 3-4 years of relevant accounts payable work experience

• Proficiency in Excel and Word

• Must be detail-oriented, excellent communication and analytical skills
