Hone Machine Operator





A global wide, well established company in the city of San Bernardino is hiring for a Hone Machine Operator. This manufacturing company has been around for over 43 years delivering high quality packaging material used primarily for the protection of perishable goods. Hours: 6am - 2:30pm. Monday thru Friday.

Temp to Hire. Be able to work Overtime.

Pay: $19

Requirements:

• Have a High School Diploma
• Have knowledge of honing machines and tools 
• Experience using one or more of the following tools: Lathe, milling machine, drill press, and vertical/horizontal cut off saw.
• know how to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• have 5+ years of experience
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Maintain regular attendance and be punctual
• Be able to work in a team environment
• be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

A Day on the Job:

• Responsible for all activities involving fabricating, inspecting, deburring parts for capital equipment machinery.
• Computes with machine indexing and settings for specified dimension and base reference points.
• Studies blue prints, work orders, and/or machining instructions to determine product dimensions, tooling, and to plan operational sequence.
• Sets up and operates horizontal manual hones, horizontal automatic strokers, vertical strokers.
• Sets and adjusts speed, feeds and depth of cut to machine parts to specifications set forth in blueprints and drawings.
• Will conduct first article inspections on all parts and operations being performed in the machine shop.
• Will be required to deburr, polish, assemble, and perform other various machine operations.
• Will work from drawings and use hand grinders and common hand tools to grind and polish a variety of parts to meet contour, size, and finish requirements.
• Move incoming/outgoing material within the department.
