An Engineering Company is seeking a Tooling Technician to join their team in Yucaipa, CA. Position Highlights:
Location: Yucaipa, Ca
Schedule: 1st, Mon - Fri, 7am to 3:30 PM
Starting Pay: $18-$20.00/hr.+ DOE
A Tooling Technician is responsible for:
Operate lathes, mills or grinders to cut, sharpen, bore, grind, repair or make tools on metal or plastic materials to job requirements for the production process.
Inspects, fabricates and finishes tools (i.e., using visual inspection techniques, microscopes, micrometers, automated measuring instruments, chamfering, buffering, polishing, and/or other finishing techniques).
Read and interpret drawings.
Understands and performs basic machine maintenance and housekeeping procedures.
Will be exposed to noise, moving mechanical parts, oils/solvents, fumes, and odors that may affect the eyes, ears, nose, throat and/or skin.
To Be Considered, You Will Need:
High School Diploma.
Previous work experience in tool grinding preferred.
Able to interpret instructions both written and oral.
Must be able to stand long periods of time, occasionally exert push force up to 50 pounds
