A leading manufacturer of airborne particle and microbial samplers, dedicated to providing high-quality instruments for various industries is excited to share they are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Clerk to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the timely procurement of supplies and raw materials to support our manufacturing operations.

Pay Range: $18.00-$24.00

Schedule: M F 7:00A 3:30P
As a Purchasing Clerk, you will play a crucial role in our procurement process. Reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for administrative support, maintaining inventory and purchase records, and participating in vendor relationship management to identify cost-saving opportunities.
To be considered, you must meet the following:
Education: High school diploma (required); Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (preferred).
Experience: With no relevant Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of industrial purchasing experience (required).
Outstanding written and verbal interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain strong vendor relationships.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong math and English skills.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Prepare and distribute accurate and complete purchase orders for supplies, materials, and raw goods.
Research vendors and collect prices, specifications, and other relevant data.
Establish and follow-up on delivery dates to ensure timely receipt of materials.
Type and issue RFQs (Request for Quotation).
Perform minor purchasing activities, primarily for commodities.
Basic understanding of inventory and purchasing principles, as well as basic accounting procedures.
General clerical activities, including filing and answering telephones.
Assist in the stockroom as needed, performing and verifying inventory counts.
Successful candidates must be able to meet the following physical requirements:
Ability to perform intricate hand manipulations, such as typing at a minimum speed of 25-30 words per minute.
Capability to lift 15 lbs. from the floor to above your head.
Comfortable sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
