2nd Shift Maintenance Technician Needed in Kentwood MI!

Arrow Staffing has an opening at a local manufacturer for MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN, if you have a minimum of 1 year experience and you are a hardworking and dependable person who can handle a fast-paced work environment, this is the job for you!

The MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN is responsible to perform all upkeep and repair needs directed by plant management. The MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN is responsible for repairing any building equipment that may inhibit our ability to operate, will schedule and complete regular service for equipment and machinery throughout the building, this includes daily/weekly PM's on production equipment. The primary goal for this department and its members is to prevent downtime or to limit downtime to a period less than 2 hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Prevention

    • Schedule and perform service and PM's on equipment.

    • Record and monitor work history for equipment.

    • Repair small problems before allowing bigger ones to form.

    • Schedule vendors/professionals to perform annual inspections on complex equipment. (Cranes, boiler, etc.)

  2. Repair

    • Perform requested repairs in the form of maintenance work orders.

    • Notify plant management of any building issues that affect safety or ability to function production.

    • Limit downtime to a maximum of 2 hours.

    • Create possible solutions that will eliminate need for future repair.

    • Maintain and manage inventory of repair supplies within designated budget figures.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma OR equivalent

  • Recommend associates degree in a related field or similar.

  • Minimum 5 years experience. MS Office Suite, PM system tracking

  • Standard practices in maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical components.

  • Extensive knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.

  • Knowledge of programmable controllers and their software's.

  • Problem solving using defined methodologies.

  • Organization and time management.

  • Hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.AC and DC control wiring.

  • Knowledge of/Ability to: Basic PLC operation and understanding of programs.

  • Pneumatic, hydraulic system repairs.

  • Issue and receive instructions using known guidelines.
