Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Final Inspection Packager to join a leading Sheet Metal Manufacturer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, particularly in sheet metal processes, with expertise in blueprint interpretation, inspection tools, shipping and receiving, assembly, and familiarity with ERP systems. The Final Inspection Packager will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of our products before they are shipped to our clients, particularly within the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities are but not limited to:
Perform final inspections on sheet metal components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications outlined in blueprints and work instructions.
Utilize inspection tools such as calipers, pin gauges, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances of manufactured parts.
Collaborate closely with production teams to identify and address any defects, discrepancies, or deviations from specifications during the manufacturing process.
Package and prepare finished products for shipping, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and adherence to shipping regulations and guidelines.
Manage shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading shipments, verifying quantities, and documenting any discrepancies.
Utilize assembly skills to perform minor assembly tasks as required before final packaging.
Navigate and operate within the company's ERP system to input and retrieve necessary information related to inspections, packaging, and shipping.
Leverage an aerospace background in manufacturing to uphold the high-quality standards required for components utilized in the aerospace industry.
Maintain a detail-oriented approach to all tasks, meticulously identifying even the smallest deviations and addressing them promptly.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage tasks and responsibilities while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and shipping, to ensure seamless operations and product delivery.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing insights and suggestions to enhance processes and efficiency in the final inspection and packaging departments.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in managing incoming and outgoing shipments.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational education related to manufacturing is a plus.
A minimum of 2-5 years of manufacturing experience preferred, with a specific focus on sheet metal processes.
Proficiency in blue print interpretation, capable of accurately understanding and applying specifications outlined in technical drawings.
Demonstrated experience (1-2 years) in shipping and receiving operations, including managing shipments, verifying quantities, and ensuring compliance with shipping regulations.
Familiarity with various inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, etc., to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
Basic assembly skills and experience, capable of performing minor assembly tasks as needed.
Familiarity with ERP systems to input, retrieve, and manage relevant information.
Background in aerospace manufacturing, with an understanding of the industry's stringent quality requirements.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while meeting deadlines.
