Job Position: Die Cutter machine operator/print shop machine, this is not a forklift position

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour.

Shift: 1st M-F 6:00 AM-2:30 PM

Arrow Staffing is seeking a Clamshell Die Cutter Operator to join our team. This is an opportunity for you to grow a career in the versatile and growing printing industry.

Responsibilities:

Operate Thompson or Standard and Die Cutter for Optimal Production, Output, and Quality while maintaining safety protocols.

Inspect all dies before and after running to ensure any necessary repairs are made before the next run.

Able to produce the Make Ready to Job Requirements with little supervision. Works with the Lead for approval.

Ability to understand detailed instructions, proofs, and samples for the job

Understand and perform preventive maintenance on the machine.

Work with Folder/Gluer Lead to confirm foldability of folders, cartons, and other products while die cutting.

Spot-checking throughout the production run, ensuring no changes or deviations from approved samples, Proofs, or Quality are occurring.

Set-up die cutters in accordance with proper setup techniques.

Ensure all bolts on cutting dies are in place and tightly secured.

Monitor box quality, including, but not limited to lose liner, warp, correct size, and proper scoring.

Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.

Cross train on other machines.

Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data.

Adhere to production schedule. Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals. Reports any unusual scheduling issues to the Supervisor.

Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Expectations:

Minimum 2+ years of experience, dependable, willing to work, including overtime if required.

Must be organized and have the desire to perform at the highest level.

The position requires a detail-oriented individual with good communication skills.

Individuals must also be Self-starters and Team players to succeed.

Manages consumables to ensure adequate inventory and maintains organization of dies.

• Use of a pallet jack to move materials from one area to another.

Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
