Description: 10 hr. shifts M-Thurs The Basic Operator will perform operations on small metal workpieces as instructed by the Second Operations Department Leader or Supervisor. The Basic Machinist will manually load and position the workpiece(s) on a machine and perform the necessary operation. Description of Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to: Load work pieces on the machine, check alignment and perform operations as instructed by the supervisor. Press a button or push a lever to start the machine: Observe machine operations: Occasional use of the air nozzle to remove excess liquids, debris, etc. Unloading of work pieces from the machine: Verification of the conformity of the workpiece with the drawings and the instructions given:Knowledge, skills and abilities required: Ability to listen well and follow directions:
